I studied Art History and Philosophy at Otago because I believe an artist has to know the past and want to philosophise on the future. Know who came before you, then keep asking where painting goes next.

1998
Early beginnings
As a child, Seb painted on giant glass panels outside the family home, and his mother washed them clean every evening.
2007
My happy place
At school, Seb preferred singing over painting.
2011
Fine arts school
Seb finished a full four-year Fine Arts degree.

Visual Snow Syndrome
Losing control of fine detail is what freed his painting.
