Good day team. It is a scorcher out today. We get some wonderful sunlight. We're in the studio this morning. But now we're out here with this atrociously mess atrociously messy painting. And we're going to put some oil on it. See where it takes us. We've got this one and three other ones that we're going through. A lovely picture of a family, a lovely picture of a sunset, a beautiful part of America, and a lovely scuba piece, which this is exciting. We've got beautiful above ground, beautiful below ground, and beautiful family. And this one here, this one's one for me. This one here is a pretty.

Fun picture of a tree. Not yet. It will be one day soon. It will be. Not yet, but I cannot wait for it to come together. Hello everyone. Welcome on in. I'm just trying to get into Tik Tok on my Samsung so that way I can have the comments over here. So then I can read them easier, which I reckon is pretty exciting. Personally, I reckon that'll be a thrill if I can get that going. But I mean, here's to hoping. I don't think it's going to work. I dreamt too big and flew too close to the sun. will that work? Come.

On. You can do it, baby. Oh, it did it. Loki's a mess, as you can see. So, that's pretty exciting. Happy for him. we've got the picture here. ideal. Yep, I'm in there. Good day, Ivan. Good day, Steve. Now, I need to put this somewhere where I can see it cuz you've currently got my stand. So, how am I going to do that? Bye-bye. >> See you later. incoming here. There we go. We have the trolley. Things falling off it in all directions, but that's okay because you know what? We made it. So, that's really exciting. Now, we're going to be working with oils.

Now, we were working with acrylics and gouaches before. Now, we're on to oils, which is pretty exciting. Let me just get you guys adjusted here a wee bit. There you go. How is that? Probably pretty good. Haha. Yes. I got an announcement from the team at Pack and Send. So I understand that you sir have the work which is incredibly exciting. Pick up at my post office. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. So no, I'm glad that got there safely, Steve. And like I say, this is a special work. It will be very very different when you see it in person.

it has multiple layers through it that'll really change the way it looks and feels. So exciting for you to experiment experience that. Now this picture here, like I say, it's a tree. It's a mixture of a Taiwanese cherry and a jackaranda. we'll see where that goes. Loki's here. He's protecting me, protecting the picture. Hello. Hello. Hello. Welcome on in. There some beautiful people here. a lot of people I haven't spoken to in a little while. Picking it up in the morning. Yes. Perfect. So, you get one little night to sleep on it. One last little night before it's in your possession. Is this.

Steve? You have to tell me. Is this still a surprise for your complete surprise for your son? Is he aware of what's happening yet or is this in complete miss or a tell me whether we've or if we've given away the surprise to them already. You want to let me know that you hit me with an email as well. Beautiful. Thank you very much. I will be on that later on today. So, I will get back to you, good sir. And we'll make a plan. Sorry, just moved my big trolley. Is this one going to be abstract? Ah, like a little bit, but.

It wants to be definitively yes, I can see the tree. So, the tree is going to have these winding branches coming out. And I'm not sure whether we'll hero the tree completely or if we'll actually anchor it with, you know, maybe a building here, which I've sort of semi carved out. But it's it's honestly anyone's guess. This is not having an image. This is where I can loosen up and actually see, okay, you know, play. I play with all of them, but I really let myself on a fresh canvas like this. Just make mistakes, if that makes sense. Think of this painting kind of.

Like dancing in the shower, whereby dancing the don't dance in the shower, you'll slip over and hurt yourself. Think of this painting more like singing in the shower. You can try out new octaves that maybe you shouldn't do in front of your friends. You can experiment. Ate one of my hairs. Wasn't very yummy. A blue tree currently. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I see. So, he's got some knowledge, but he hasn't seen me painting. It's funny you say that. I actually have I got a pair of budgy smugglers in the States, not the states, in Australia at Bondi Beach and got some for my daughter and.

Some for my partner. And then we usually bring them out around Christmas time. Great for swimming in. There we go. These are just these big trunks. I think I want to get some red in here, too. Have I got some red? I should do. There we go. Now get that out of there. Good. Yeah. Just come into here. The beautiful sky. Yes, indeed. Looking forward to the new work to join Irish Castle. Yeah, I actually pulled up that photo. Hope you don't mind me saying I bought up that photo and I said to Shelby, do you remember this painting? because I was.

Doing that work when we first moved in together. And so it actually when I boxed it, I boxed it in the house that Shelby and I first moved in together in that reel that got put out there. So pretty fun in that sense. Lot of history here between that painting, me and obviously the next one we're going to do. There's a lot of lot to enjoy. God, the paint runs so smoothly when you get it on the epoxy like this. But I just want to make sure we're getting this here. There's a shadow. And the shadow of the day will embrace the.

World in gray. And the sun will set for you. What we're going to do actually in this part here, we're going to get a little bit of a fence carved in through here. Just a little bit of one. We're going to let that anchor the picture behind the tree. This building doesn't have to happen. The buildings are so blocky. They do better to anchor pictures in the background, but that's quite a large structure. So, what we'll let happen is we'll actually come through here, carve over top of it with these will be shadows of the jackaranda. Just like that. And then as we go.

These will get covered with a bit more green, bit more gray. And you'll obviously be able to tell that. Ah yeah, okay. That shadows parts are all vibrant branches rocketing up doing their thing. Just catch up here. I'm going to show him videos after I give it to him. That's fantastic. I love that. I love that. Love that. Love that. yeah painted in New Zealand. It's interesting actually because that painting it's of Silver Lake but the amount of people who look at it and it reminds them of a lake that's meaningful to them is humongous. and a lot of people think.
