So, on a big canvas, we're laying adding some gouache with egg temper paint on this layer. And I've got a fresh sack of colors. Check this out. This is all the little tubes of paint that I have to use to make this artwork. This is pretty fun. Lots and lots of new colors. So, I'm excited. Who's that? As Mundo. Cheers, cowboy. All right. All right. All right. All right. I'm going to put that one on the floor because I get the feeling that if the wind picks up, I don't want to send my fancy new cut fly. Ideally not. All right. Now, this is.

Lovely. Lovely. Let me show you this up close. This here is cadmium red. Now the reason why cadmium red is a beautiful beautiful thing is because no sorry cadmium free red. So it's the regular strong red the mulan rouge red but it's got no heavy metal in it. So, I'm not saying eat it, but it's less bad for you if you did. All right, first three colors off the ranks. Three colors off the ranks. I've got my ultramarine turquoise. This tube here costs four times more than the other ones. That color right there. Go figure. And I've got my Naples yellow. That's this lovely, lovely.

Tone right there. So, between these three colors, that's how we're going to start. And I got some fancy, fancy new brushes. Now, these aren't super super fancy, but they're fancy enough that they do everything we need them to do. Synthetic, soft, but not too soft, hard, but not too hard. They're very cheap. They're just the D flat synthetic long handle. I like a 10. This one here is a 16. Whatever you want. don't waste a lot of money on brushes. Find one that works for you. That's the best brush. Okay. Just, you know, tuck my shirt in. So, we're not scruffy. One thing.

I haven't been doing lately is the old think smart, paint smart. I've just been painting anything. And I don't think it helps the art. I think if you dress smart, I think the art actually gets better for it. So, belts in a very annoying place. Right between the two sizes. Okay. Image up here. Painting ready. Colors down there. One more thing. Okay, this is what we need. This delightful little thing. Voila. Plug that in. Now, we either lost sound or we gained better quality sound. One of the two, right? Okay. Little bit of this. Love this stuff. Just a touch. Now, I'm going to.

Be standing back a little bit, so I'm going to swipe to the comment section so that way I can glance over and catch up with what's going on. Oo, listen. This one here, massive picture. It's commissioned and I've struggled with it. I have absolutely struggled with it and it's kind of just the nature of the beast. It's a big picture. It's a genre piece. There's a lot to work on to make it come into reality. Faces are further back, so you got to try not to focus on the faces, but focus on everything in the image. Didn't like the first one. We're on the.

Second one now. And hopefully this time we can make it into something special. Hopefully this time we can make something special. But I've got two commissions right now. I've put a hold on commissions and I've gone two and I've done them both. One of them three times and one of them two times. I'm really struggling to finish them. I'm just not happy with how they're coming out. So you just got to keep coming back having another go and hopefully starts to land shadow. Hello Steve. Hello anyone else that I missed in the early stages there. Primary colors control tone. That is correct. Tones. No.

The hues. Primary colors control hues. You're close. I was talking to someone the other day. Turns out I've got a new studio coming, guys, and you're going to love this. I've got a new studio coming, and we haven't got a name for it yet, but I'm just going to come out straight with it. It's a chicken coupe. It's a chicken coop, and I love it. It's a beautiful chicken coop. It's a beautiful, beautiful chicken coop. And the goal behind it is I was talking to someone the other day saying, "Do I steer away from that and try and make it into something completely different or.

Do I steer into that and make it more chicken coopy?" I don't know. But it's kind of fun because we do a lot of egg temper works, which is when you use literal eggs to make the art. And my daughter's called Cooper Chicken Coup. Maybe it's the Golden Egg Studio. Can't wait to find out. So this is a combination of gouache and egg temper. If you apply it just right and talk in between the airplanes, apply it just right, it won't crack. Now, sometimes the combination of different mediums causes cracking, but the right amount of gouache actually stabilizes the egg temper. So, as.

Long as you stay away from thicker impesto, you actually get this most beautiful paint that behaves quite similar to oils, but without any fumes and with more longevity. Wonderful. Tell you what though, the ability to get in there and go detailed is beyond any other method. The egg temper is just so wonderfully delicate. JGJR, good to see you. Have you come to Vegas yet? I have not come to Vegas and it breaks my heart. I'm the kind of guy who goes, "Yeah, let's go to Vegas." And I get to Vegas and I'm like, bet $2 on a table. Not really. I've done a bit, but.

Not really. do you Is there such thing as being good at betting? I'm not good at it. I'm not good at it. It's It's not I'm good at losing money and I can have fun while doing it. And maybe that maybe that's the true art of betting. Maybe. And let me just scroll up here a little bit. Chicken proofing my backyard. Now it's impeccable. All right, fair enough. Well, it's relevant to working with a temper. So, we are literally like jokes, all jokes aside, chat, I have a backyard that I need to make chicken proof. So, 100% on topic. Wait, what changes? Walk me.

Through it. What changes? Cuz a lot changed. I tell you that for free. A lot changed. Hello. We're doing good. Welcome on in. Hey, sorry the lighting is not perfect today, guys. it's just there's a bit of wind out so it's this kind of dance between where the best position is to not get the canvas blown away. Vegas. Yeah, you are right. Yes. Now when you're doing things like betting and you go to Vegas, you're like ah actually how about instead we go to an op shop and buy koopsie few extra gifts. Like your whole framework stops from being you go left of.

Center for your own pleasure. That's a fact. You definitely go left of center for your own pleasure. I never realized how selfish I was as an individual until all of a sudden my daughter was the center of the world and I was to the side. And once that happened, I was like, "Wow, what a selfish individual I was." Could still be, but was definitely was. It was interesting to actually get nudged away from that middle position to realize you put yourself in the middle of everything. It happens. I didn't mean to. I didn't think I was selfish, but you know what? I've been to Disneyland.
